The Japanese cosmetics market is experiencing steady growth, with its market size estimated to expand from USD 20.75 billion in 2025 to USD 33.24 billion by 2032, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.96% over the forecast period from 2025 to 2032[1]. According to industry surveys, one of the key drivers of growth in Japan’s cosmetics market is the increasing consumer preference for skincare-oriented and medicated beauty products. In particular, the men’s cosmetics segment continues to expand, increasing its market share to USD 853.35 million[2].

In parallel, the aesthetic medicine market in Japan is also on a growth trajectory and is projected to reach USD 4.04 billion, marking a 6.2% increase compared to the previous fiscal year[3]. The hair salon and barbershop segment is likewise expected to grow, reaching USD 13.62 billion, supported by the continued increase in the number of hair salons nationwide[4].

Located in southwestern Japan, the Kyushu region is home to approximately 13 million people, with Fukuoka serving as its largest economic hub and beauty market. Characterised by strong demand and a constant appetite for innovation, Kyushu’s beauty industry continues to evolve dynamically. Beautyworld Japan Fukuoka plays a key role in this growth, serving as a vital platform for business exchange, innovation, and market expansion.

The fair will bring together a broad range of important product categories, including skincare, professional salon-exclusive products, beauty and aesthetic equipment, haircare devices, eyelash-related products, nail supplies, and inner beauty solutions. The venue will be divided into six zones, namely Beauty Equipment, Cosmetics, Fem more, Hair, Nail & Eyelash, as well as the special NEXT area, where more than 20 companies will introduce new brands to the Kyushu beauty market for the first time.

Throughout the three-day period, a total of 29 seminars will be delivered across five areas, including the Main Stage. Exhibitor Presentations, Association Seminars including Special Seminars of the Association of Japanese Estheticians and Beauty Therapists AJESTHE, as well as Premium Seminars, which offer fee-based, hands-on, small-group training designed for immediate menu implementation. Attendees of the paid seminars will be provided with an original course handbook and a certificate of completion upon finishing the session. A wide range of practical seminars will be held across the venue, featuring leading industry experts who will share the latest techniques and trends applicable to salon operations, as well as insights into customer acquisition and marketing. The paid seminars will host four sessions – two for aestheticians and two for hair and beauty professionals – focusing on deep-relaxation head massage techniques, known for delivering an exceptional sleep-inducing experience.
